Sara McDaniel began her optical journey at just 20 years old, working in a lab where her passion for the craft first took shape. Nearly two decades later, that passion continues to shine through every detail of Occhiali Modern Optics. Certified by the American Board of Opticianry, Sara has collaborated with private practices and national optical labs across the country, but her true joy lies in personally hand-selecting each eyewear collection and helping clients experience their best vision in uncompromising style.
As a proud family-owned boutique, Occhiali Modern Optics reflects the dedication, artistry, and heart of the McDaniel family.
– Marissa Deacon, Sara’s daughter, first pursued a career in nursing, becoming a licensed RN before returning to her roots and joining the family business. Now a Certified Optician, Marissa brings precision, empathy, and expertise to every client experience.
– Priscilla Montemayor, Sara’s eldest daughter, grew up immersed in the optical world — spending afternoons in the shop and learning the business from the ground up. Today, she contributes her creativity and eye for design to the administrative, marketing, and social media side of the boutique, ensuring the Occhiali brand continues to shine both in-store and online.
